Deer Oh Deer, It's That Time of Year.
Late summer- everything's in it's finest glory having had all summer to grow and bloom. That's the trouble- everything's in riotous, blooming glory and what better time for the deer to visit such a succulent salad bar temptation. I've noticed in the woods of Parker, Colorado, the end of August, beginning of September finds the deer beginning to "Beef Up," forgive the association my deers, for the coming winter! I fight a good fight all season, utilizing Deer Off, a bottled spray elixir that does repel the little darlings, but even lightly coated stems are not safe from bloom-be-heading deer this time of year. I'm going to try mixing another recipe I found to see the effectiveness against Deer Off and I'll let you know how it goes. If you have a great deer/rabbit repelling recipe, please feel free to post it for us.

Rosey, pictured below, loves, loves, loves my rose gardens, hence the name Rosey. She visits daily to thwart the Deer Off repellant in quest of tender rose buds.
